Waiting

I had my 40 week check-up today, & nothing has changed since I last went to the doctor 1 1/2 weeks ago. I am patiently (for the most part) waiting for our baby to arrive. I'm just excited that he'll be here so soon! I've already convinced myself that he'll be 2 weeks late, so I don't get my hopes up that labor will start any second. I just figure that the physical discomforts of waiting an additional 2 weeks past my due date is nothing compared to the emotional, mental, & physical pain of waiting 3 years to even have a child. We're just so grateful for this miracle in our lives. Thanks everyone for your love, encouragement, & prayers.

  1. You looked so cute on Sunday! I know you're sick of hearing this, but he'll be here before you know it. I can't wait to meet him.

  2. You're wonderful-- I was WAY too impatient for D-Day that I got induced... and on that first scary night, I thought-- sheesh, I should have relished the "pregnant" life! Can't wait for pictures of the little guy!

  5. I can't wait to see him. I think that it is smart that you are telling herself he will be two weeks late because if he comes earlier then it will be exciting. I don;t get it why most people's first baby is always late. Anyways take care and try to relax

  6. I think the last few days are the hardest, mostly because you just want to finally see that baby! You have a really good attitude about it though. I wish I had enjoyed the end more instead obsessing over going into labor. He'll be here before you know it!

  7. There was no change at my 40 week check-up either and Jaxon was born 5 days later. So you never know when labor is going to start. It's just one big surprise! You are awesome Liz! You guys are going to be great parents. We love you guys!
